About

The Philosophy

Ash’s focus is in building a fluid connection between mind, spirit, and physical body, with an intrinsic interest in the relationship between movement, emotion, and expression. In supporting the exploration of and communication between all three realms, Ash guides clients toward optimum mind body movement health. Her vision is always long-term; take the time now, go into the real centre of the body, and apply consistent practice to rebuild stronger mental and physical foundations. Fostering trust with each individual, Ash helps her clients develop confidence in supporting their own bodies and their individual movement needs. Her intent is to set you up to support yourself in your daily life, now and in the future.

The current world is big and bright and busy, but Ash asks you to step into her space and slow yourself down. Go back to the beginning: create awareness and connection, find balance and rebuild. Gain a physical and mental understanding and control over your body, from which true freedom of movement can grow. Drawing on a dynamic wealth of movement practices including dance, Pilates, yoga and meditation, gymnastics, trampolining and aerial arts, Ash has curated a form that fosters much success for her clients’. There is always something she can do to help you find ease and power in your movement when you give yourself the time.

The Science

Ash grounds her processes in up-to-date movement science, research and best practise guidelines that are continuously evolving. With a deep respect for the multiple systems within the physiological body and how they relate to and communicate with each other, Ash approaches the human body like a puzzle.

Drawing on her knowledge and experience already built, while actively seeking new information, she builds a comprehensive understanding of why a body is doing what it is doing, and how to best set that body and mind at ease.

Working from a multi-layered science base including anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, pain and rehabilitative sciences, motor learning and control, bioenergetics, breathwork, and meditation, Ash curates an approach individual to each client and the way their body is manifesting its limits. Her techniques and practices are not ‘exercises’; Ash is not simply building fitness. Her craft is reconnecting the mind and body through movement to give you the best opportunity of renewed and long-lasting motion capability and strength.

Ash helps clients with remedial and rehabilitative needs, pre/peri and postnatal care, breath mechanics and pelvic floor dysfunction, persistent/chronic pain disorders, neurological and neuromuscular repatterning and motor control, functional movement and postural education, injury prevention and sports performance needs. Her scope in the realm of mind body movement is vast and there is always something she has in her skill set that will support your wellbeing.

“Ash combines precise anatomical knowledge with the control & discipline of classical ballet. She has a real gift with rehabilitation both mental & physical”
